New research: Apple Watch helps detect serious illnesses

Apple has been working with Stanford University Medical Center to find out if the Apple Watch can detect if the user is suffering from atrial fibrillation.

"We called these studies virtual. The participants did not need to come to the hospital. They just had to download the application and then wait for the results of the examination, "said cardiologist and lead author of the study, Dr. Marko Perez.

Perez explains that patients who found abnormal heart function did not have to come to the office.

"They talked on the phone about how to get in touch with their doctor. Data was delivered to our medical center using Apple's watch, and ECG results were mailed to patients. All this was very easy to do, "added Dr. Perez.

"I believe that digital transformation is the future of health," says the director of innovation at the American College of Cardiology, adding that this method will change the way patients are treated.

Silent killer

Atrial fibrillation is the most common cause of stroke in the United States. Every year it kills 130,000 people and 750,000 people end up in the hospital.

Atrial fibrillation is the continuous chaotic induction and propagation of more independent waves of electrical impulses through the atrium, leading to improper conduction of impulses to the chambers. The most common source of atrial arrhythmias is pulmonary vein Ostia due to the short refractory period and rapid ischemic change of myocytes.

"In the future, studies should examine the performance of digital technology combined with strategies to effectively engage physicians. This reduces the risk of serious health disorders, "says doctor Mitesh Patel.

Devices such as smartwatches have many advantages over exploring other users' health problems.

Apple's watch sent health information to 419,000 patients, and researchers say it is the biggest success of the study.

Most users of Apple Watch are aged 22 to 39, and most people with atrial fibrillation are over 65 years of age. This is the only objection to this study.

The research is designed so that Apple cannot access the private information of watch owners. All data was available to doctors, but not to Apple.

Dr. Perez concluded that scientists now know how to conduct a clinical trial involving a large number of participants while protecting their data.

Elon Musk again promises private space flights

Elon Musk's SpaceX company has signed an agreement with a space tourism agency to organize a trip into Earth's orbit for several adventurous travelers. Space Adventures, an agency that has organized eight tours to the International Space Station from 2001 to 2009, plans to organize a four-passenger flight on SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft. The journey would be completed by the end of 2021, according to a Space Adventures statement released yesterday. Passengers will spend a maximum of five days orbiting the Earth, stranded in a 3.96-meter-long spacecraft. The flight path predicts that private space tourists will fly two to three times the altitude of the orbit of the International Space Station, says Eric Anderson, president of Space Adventures. It will be the furthest distance from Earth anyone has found in decades, meaning that passengers on this flight will have a sight similar to what astronauts saw on NASA's Gemini 11 mission in 1966, Anderson said on Tw

SpaceX lost its Falcon 9 after the successful launch of Starlink satellites

SpaceX successfully launched a new set of 60 Starlink satellites but was left without a Falcon 9 rocket. After the launch was complete, the rocket was to return to a drone ship, but missed it and ended up in the sea. This is the first such case in nearly 4 years, the last Falcon 9 rocket missed a drone ship in June 2016 The rocket was previously used for the CRS-17 mission in May 2019, then for the CRS-18 mission in July 2019, and for the December 2019 mission. Successful landings have had a positive impact on the business success of the company as the more rockets it saves the more it can use for the next launch, thereby reducing costs. It is not known why the rocket missed the landing target. Maybe you want to read about  The new Fortnite brings a bullied cat, balloon riding and Deadpool.
