Great news for fans of Netflix's The Witcher Series - The streaming network has released a list of several new actors joining the second season of this epic series. When Henry Cavill's Geralt returns in new episodes, he will be greeted by some new faces - one in particular known to all fans of the Game Of Thrones series.
Christopher Hivyu, who played the fan-favorite Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO Game of Thrones series, is now officially confirmed to be coming for The Witcher series as Nivellen - a charismatic man from an aristocratic family who also hosts a monstrous curse. The news comes as Season 2 officially kicks off production, and has been confirmed to consist of eight new episodes.
Besides Hivju, the second season of the series will be joined by Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Thue Fabienne Ross as Lydia and Mecia Simson as Francesca.
"The response to season one of The Witcher has set a high ladder for adding new talent for season two," says series director Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. "Sophie Holland and her casting team have again found the best people to embody these characters. In the hands of these accomplished directors, we are excited to see how these new stories come to life. ”
The second season of The Witcher Series is expected to come in 2021.
