Why is it important to read books before bed?

Some people cannot sleep without having read at least one side of a book. This habit has many uses for mental health, writes Dreams.co.uk.

Reading reduces stress, better than music and tea

Reading before bed relaxes you, according to a study conducted at the University of Sussex. Reading before bed reduces stress by 68 percent. A study conducted by neuropsychologist Dr. Davis Lewis found that reading reduces stress better than consuming tea (54 percent) and listening to music (42 percent).

It strengthens the brain

Reading is very useful for strengthening the brain and reduces the risk of developing degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. People who solve a crossword puzzle, read or play chess, have a 2.5 times lower risk of getting mentally ill.

While reading a good book, your mind is not focused on the daily stresses and worries that cause tension. Stories project you somewhere else. By doing so, you are leaving the problems behind you. Reading relaxes your muscles, slows your breathing and gives you a sense of calm.

Creativity improves

University of Toronto professor Keith E. Stankovic said: "Our data over and over again shows that reading books enriches vocabulary, general knowledge, and verbal skills."

We can see the improvement of our own. Reading children's books is also extremely important. Good night stories have a big impact on them.

Elon Musk again promises private space flights

Elon Musk's SpaceX company has signed an agreement with a space tourism agency to organize a trip into Earth's orbit for several adventurous travelers. Space Adventures, an agency that has organized eight tours to the International Space Station from 2001 to 2009, plans to organize a four-passenger flight on SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft. The journey would be completed by the end of 2021, according to a Space Adventures statement released yesterday. Passengers will spend a maximum of five days orbiting the Earth, stranded in a 3.96-meter-long spacecraft. The flight path predicts that private space tourists will fly two to three times the altitude of the orbit of the International Space Station, says Eric Anderson, president of Space Adventures. It will be the furthest distance from Earth anyone has found in decades, meaning that passengers on this flight will have a sight similar to what astronauts saw on NASA's Gemini 11 mission in 1966, Anderson said on Tw

SpaceX lost its Falcon 9 after the successful launch of Starlink satellites

SpaceX successfully launched a new set of 60 Starlink satellites but was left without a Falcon 9 rocket. After the launch was complete, the rocket was to return to a drone ship, but missed it and ended up in the sea. This is the first such case in nearly 4 years, the last Falcon 9 rocket missed a drone ship in June 2016 The rocket was previously used for the CRS-17 mission in May 2019, then for the CRS-18 mission in July 2019, and for the December 2019 mission. Successful landings have had a positive impact on the business success of the company as the more rockets it saves the more it can use for the next launch, thereby reducing costs. It is not known why the rocket missed the landing target. Maybe you want to read about  The new Fortnite brings a bullied cat, balloon riding and Deadpool.
