Skull & Bones pirate game postponed for the 100th time, possibly until 2022

Ubisoft has moved the release of its naval game Skull & Bones for the fiscal year 2021/2022, which means we may not play it for another two years.

It's been two and a half years since Ubisoft announced the pirate-naval game Skull & Bones as a separate online extension of the former Assassin's Creed Odyssey. But since then the game has been flooded with an unfortunate delay of delays. We were supposed to play it at the end of 2018, so it was postponed to 2019 and from 2019 to 2020. During yesterday's Ubisoft financial statement, another postponement was confirmed, so Skull & Bones has now been moved to the fiscal year 2021/2022. which begins in the fourth month of 2021 and ends in the third month of 2022.

The reason for the delay is not stated, but according to unofficial claims by Jason Schreier of the Kotaku portal, the development of the game has already started several times from scratch. The first delay was related to the departure of the creative director of the game, and that something was not right, we could sniff at the fact that Ubisoft had not shown the game for almost two years.

The kind of consolation in all this is that given this delay, Skull & Bones is likely to be designed to reap the benefits of next-generation consoles, which may mean that we will get a nicer game than the one announced three years ago.

It's a stellar lineup that is sure to get fans' attention, and that's exactly what Netflix will need considering the amount of money it has to invest to bring together these three huge stars.
