Why are we overweight when under stress?

Money, work and family responsibilities are a major cause of stressful situations. Studies have shown that stress affects mental and physical health.

A group of scientists at Yale University studied the relationship between stressful situations and weight changes in humans and found that stress and anxiety cause uncontrolled obesity.

This study found that episodes of stress cause an increase in cortisol levels. Also, stress causes a constant sense of voice that leads to overeating.

People who are stressed - apart from being anxious, are prone to obesity.

Namely, with stress, you can get up to three hundred calories, which is equivalent to a large hamburger.

According to a study conducted by scientists at Ohio State University, women who are stressed and consuming high-calorie foods are storing kilograms and fat around their waist and waist.

Stress and calorie foods slow down metabolism and store excess fat in the body.

Namely, research shows that women who are under stress burn 104 calories less than those who are not stressed.

If you're constantly anxious, you can get up to 11kg in excess.
Skipping meals

Skipping meals will not reduce your calorie intake. An interesting study by Nutrition Research and Practice found that people who skip meals regularly are fatter than those who eat three meals a day. Under stress, we choose less healthy foods. Those skipping meals are less likely to opt for fruits, vegetables or other healthier options.
