Marvel Shang-Chi: A new image leaks and reveals a mysterious army

A new image from the shooting of Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings reveals a mysterious army.

One of the more anticipated and mysterious Marvel films currently underway (though recently cut) is Shang-Chi, the first superhero franchise project to focus on the Asian solo hero. The film is expected to mainly feature actors of Asian descent, another first film for this multi-billion dollar franchise.

Production on the Shang-Chi movie takes place in Australia where this brand-new behind-the-scenes picture is taken that gives us a glimpse of the mysterious army.

Twitter theorizes that the mysterious army belongs to Mandarin. From our outsider perspective, it would make sense that the Mandarin army is in the process, but we honestly do not know enough about Shang-Chi at this point to confirm this. The photo is not of the best quality, but it can be assumed that military armor may have tags or iconography directed at its owner.

Shang-Chi was the first Marvel project to stop due to concerns about coronavirus. The film's director, Destin Daniel Cretton, recently received a newborn baby and is currently in self-isolation to protect the baby if it has the virus. Production on the upcoming Marvel movie will begin after concerns about the coronavirus are allayed.

It's a stellar lineup that is sure to get fans' attention, and that's exactly what Netflix will need considering the amount of money it has to invest to bring together these three huge stars. Most people assumed that the spy thriller would carry a hefty price tag, a fact Johnson confirmed in an Instagram post-Monday morning. Johnson shared a photo of himself meeting with Netflix boss Ted Sarandos on the set of Red Notice and explained that the film received the largest ever service commitment.
